The Fame (2009)

In August 19, 2008 , Lady Gaga debuted in Hollywood with her album The Fame. Gaga always had the dream to become a famous celebrity and she wanted to ace the art of fame. In Lalaparooza Akon discovered Lady Gaga and signed her up for his record label Kon Live and gaga had been studying celebrities such as David Bowie and Marilyn Munroe. She decided to work an album The Fame. Lady Gaga’s album is dedicated to her fans, and she believes,
“Fame is within yourself and everybody can feel famous”.
Gaga said that “I have has always felt famous, it’s just that people didn’t know that yet.”
In the album, there are fourteen tracks, some important track which tells about the fame are as follows.
- Beautiful, Dirty, Rich: In this song, Gaga artistically sings how some struggling artists feel depression when they don’t find themselves to be productive and live on their parents’ money, especially when they have addictions.
- Papaer Gangsta: The song tells how an artist gets signed to record labels and productions but get dropped, or how an artist has give up its real identity to please the public. Interestingly, artist such as Katy Perry and Rihanna were forced to become like Gaga after the fame was released.
- Paparazzi : The song is about how the media wants to eat every piece of famous people, as well as how celebrities such as Marilyn Munroe and Kurt Cobain died and nobody knows how they passed away.
The Fame Monster

On 18 November 2009, after gaining huge amount of fame Lady Gaga made the album the fame monster, which talked about the darker side of fame, in The Fame all the songs had bright feeling to it but The Fame Monster discussed its darker side.
- Bad Romance: The song was about the fear of love, it discussed how much she loved her fans who support her, she wanted to know about every dark and sick and deepest part of their soul which they couldn’t tell to anyone ebcause that’s how much she loved them.
- So Happy I Could Die: This song was about the fear of addiction, often artists get addicted to drugs to become creative or start drinking excessively in loneliness.
- Dance In The Dark: This song is about how women in the industry are forced to have plastic surgery and get injected to have bigger lips to look beautiful to the audience and to the men they are in love with.
